Many of you know Halison but for the benefit of those who don’t… Halison Lukai is a soon-to-be 9yr old boy from Pango village who was born with a brain tumour which was discovered when he was 6yrs old after it damaged his optical nerve causing him to lose his eye sight in both eyes. He had major surgery in Necker Children’s Hospital Paris, France in 2018 to remove the tumour followed by 6 weeks of radiotherapy. After his first review post radiotherapy, it was discovered that the tumour had grown back and so Halison underwent a second surgery to remove it. Halison is now on daily medication for the rest of his life.
HOPE FOR HALISON is working together to help generate financial support that will provide Halison not only with the medical care that he needs but to also give him a better quality of life. The list below is a big part of the medical treatments which Halison requires.
1. Yearly medical check-up
2. Brain MRI in Noumea, New Caledonia
3. Probable growth hormone treatment over a period of time
4. Probable follow up brain surgery as the tumour could not be completely removed in the initial operations.
