Wednesday the 12th of August was the first ever Leimalo surfing exhibition I’ve ever been too. The exhibition was held in the Art Gallery, Foundation Suzanne Bastien. Nice set up of the exhibition, as I entered the first thing I noticed was the surf boards. They had them displayed on the walls and on this small canoe. The ones on the wall had hand drawn designs and on the small canoe are flat wooden surf boards well displayed, waxed & crafted, looks perfect.
Next thing I noticed was, of course, the canvas photos that was framed and displayed on the wall. Fell in love with every single one of the photos. All photos taken by Peter Carrol. Beautiful shots and I had to have one, brought a really nice A4 size photo.
Behind the breath-taking photos are huge canvas paintings of all Vanuatu’s Islands. Loved them all, gifted hands and good imagination. Looking forward for more exhibition.
