L’Houstalet is situated on the main road, only a 5 minutes ride by cab from all major hotels and is open every day for dinner. It is a well known French restaurant in Port Vila, it is famous for it’s tender grilled steaks, prawns flame, coconut crabs, lobsters, wild pigeons and flying foxes.
In this room of L’Houstalet restaurant, you will find a superb collection of paintings by Aloi Pilioko, a wonderful exhibition for the pleasure of diners there. Most of them are for sale at the Michoutouchkine & Pilioko foundation on the road to Pango.
The menu is eclectic, European and Pacific, all at once and separately. There are 22 pizza dishes that long-term locals rave about, six pasta dishes, then the French influence kicks in with classics like French onion soup and garlic snails. Friendly staffs and the atmosphere brought back to a back street in Paris. Its worth it!
